ABOUT THE ACT
Mara and Flint sing like the room is empty even when it isn't: close harmonies, fingerpicked guitar and songs about harbours, departures and coming back. Their winter EP was recorded in a boathouse, and it sounds like it.
Saturday's 20:00 Pier set lands in the blue hour, when the water goes dark and the stage lights take over. The duo asked for no screens and no pyro — just the songs, the river and 2,500 people being quiet together.
